President Donald Trump has asked Kimberly Guifoyle to resign as U.S. ambassador to Greece, following a report that she asked a Trump donor to pay off her $100,000 American Express bill.

"We have asked Ambassador Guilfoyle to resign," she said. "She has been a wonderful asset to the team and we wish her well."
